Position Summary:
The Creative Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing creative marketing projects for the VCU Business School and is a vital member of the marketing team. Their role is to ensure that all creative and marketing projects are completed efficiently, effectively and within budget. This position will combine leadership, administrative, and creative skills to oversee and coordinate the production of various marketing materials such as: videos, infographics, content writing and advertising copy. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills. They must also have experience in a marketing support role, CRM user experience and be able to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple changing deadlines.
General Responsibilities:
The Creative Project Manager will perform the following duties:
- Oversee the creative/production process, from ideation to execution, ensuring that the project stays on schedule, within budget and meets the internal “client's” expectations
- Collaborate with internal and external graphic designers, animators, artists and content writers to develop and execute creative marketing projects
- Provide administrative support and production coordination for creative marketing projects
- Use task management platforms to assign tasks, set deadlines, and track the progress of the project and status of the project team
- Manage the project budget and ensure that all expenses are accounted for
- Use organizational skills to create straightforward project plans for team members and ensure all project resources are easily accessible
- Maintain knowledge of the VCU Business School's brand elements and guidelines and ensure all marketing materials adhere to them
- Write, edit and proofread marketing materials, including website content, marketing slogans and brochure copy
- Update the VCU Business School's website content as needed
- Provide event and marketing support as needed
- Take on special projects as needed
- A Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- CRM user experience
- Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
- High energy, enthusiastic and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must display strong focus and excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage multiple changing deadlines
- Outstanding oral and written communications skills
- Attention to detail is essential
- Availability to work some evening and weekend hours as needed
- Knowledge of AP style is preferred
- Experience in the higher education field preferred
- Knowledge of project management software a plus (i.e. Basecamp)
- Experience with website updating preferred
- Basic photography skills for use in social media is a plus

Salary Range: $55,000-65,000
