Job Summary

The Genetic Science Learning Center ( GSLC) seeks an energetic and versatile Program Manager who has experience engaging with a broad range of community members and organizations. This individual will develop partnerships with libraries, museums, federally qualified health centers, academic health centers and their clinics, high school teachers, and community organizations. A major focus for this position will be on identifying and supporting partners in using and evaluating educational materials the GSLC has developed for the National Institute of Health's All of Us Research Program.

The NIH All of UsResearch Program is a historic effort to recruit 1 million or more individuals to participate as partners in one of the world's largest and most diverse health databases, with a goal of making health research more equitable. All of Us particularly focuses on recruiting individuals who have previously been underrepresented in research including those from

communities that have been minoritized due to race, ethnicity, sex and gender, and/or disability as well as children and older adults, and those living in rural areas.

We seek a Program Manager who has experience forming partnerships with a broad range of organizations; experience collaborating with one or more minoritized communities is a plus. This person must enjoy working with people, including comfort in reaching out to new individuals, coordinating among multiple people both within the GSLC and with partners, and supporting partners throughout collaborations. In addition to partner-facing work, this individual will participate in preparing monthly and annual reports to funders, participate in preparing IRB applications, submit project deliverables for funder approval, and collaborate with the GSLC's Project Manager to develop and track detailed project timelines. They also will support preparation of grant proposals.

The Program Manager position will primarily support work by the NIH All of Us Research Program. In addition to our own projects, the GSLC collaborates with faculty across the University and at other institutions to develop and study educational materials and programs that address all areas of life science, health and a broad range of other fields.

Our projects require a collaborative, team-based approach from planning through materials production and testing as well as engaging individuals in using our materials. Our multi-talented team of 17 includes expertise in science and health writing, curriculum development, instructional design and training, graphic design, multimedia art, interactive development, videography, music composition and sound design, web design, software development, community engagement, evaluation, and science education research, along with project management and administration.
