Job Description
The Advancement Operations Coordinator is responsible for routing incoming donations and assisting to maintain the data integrity & hygiene of the Advancement office's Raiser's Edge database through the data entry and management of biographical and address updates, along with other data sourced updates from across campus.
This position works closely with the Senior Associate and Director of the Advancement Operations team in maintaining the database and other data collection and processing aspects of the department.
Essential Duties Summary
Position Responsibilities:
Gift Routing:
Coordinate incoming gifts and donations by checking constituent information and making any required updates in the database.Manage receipting process and filing/ maintenance of supporting gift documentation.
Record Management:
Manage record upkeep of the Advancement Raiser’s Edge database through a combination of direct data entry, importing files, and record updates.
Proactively use data tools to search and update lost, missing, and incomplete records on a scheduled basis.Process returned mail and communications making address and data updates in the database to reflect returns.
Department Collaboration:
Work closely with the Advancement Research Department to manage and update Raiser’s Edge data to support research projects and analysis.
Work with other departments across campus to facilitate capturing new and missing information in support of Raiser’s Edge: entering updates and data sets.
Collaborate with the Advancement Department regarding best-practices to maintain data integrity of the Raiser’s Edge database with other department team members.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge 7, Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar Advancement database: queries, exports, record management.
Proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
Ability to act with sensitivity and discretion while working with highly confidential information.
