Part-Time Mailroom Helper
The Buffalo News is hiring several part-time Mailroom Helpers to join our team! This opportunity is perfect for those looking for a 2 nd job, or to supplement their income!
Mailroom workers have a hands-on role in the production of the newspaper and getting it into the hands of our readers! We're looking for individuals who possess a positive attitude, great work ethic and thrive working in a team-based setting!
For this part-time, on-call position, applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts which may include overnight, weekend and holiday shifts , based upon shift assignments and workload.
Candidates are responsible for working on the production line and performing various tasks to ensure all newspapers and inserts are stacked and produced in a timely, orderly manner. Applicants should be able to perform in a fast-paced, warehouse environment. Physical requirements include bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance and standing for a full shift, up to 8 hours.
Mailroom helpers receive a competitive wage of $15.30/hour, potential for a sign on bonus, contributions to a 401K retirement plan, free employee parking in the heart of Canalside, and access to an extensive Employee Assistance Program.
Applicants must successfully complete a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen.
