Job Summary
This is a management technician position with half-time appointment to the Department of Social Work and half-time to the University Senate. The incumbent will spend half of the week in one office, and half in the other. (For example, Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning in one, and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon in the other)
The position started with the added needs of the Doctor of Social Work program, and the accreditation demands of the BSW and MSW. The position provides technical support and data processing for our accreditation assessment systems for the three programs. The position handles the administrative needs of our doctoral program (including recruitment, course registration, 3 residencies, dissertation defenses, inter-university registration, independent studies, dissertation publishing, doctoral faculty meetings, facilities reservation, speakers, and praxis assignments, and provide other supports for DSW program director, etc.) It provides the technical backbone for the department events (Community Forum, Global Conference, Colloquium and Clinical Updates conference, and the graduation celebration). The person designs evaluation surveys of these events and provides evaluative data and supports all aspects of our marketing efforts (promotional material design, web presence for all our programs—MSW, BSW, DSW).
This position also provides for the needs of the University Senate (records minutes at Senate meetings, communicates with Senate leadership, manages Senate correspondence, oversees Senate office and data input, maintains Senate website, uses Engage to assist with elections, supports Committee on Committees).
Other duties as assigned.

The starting salary for this position is $41,917, per the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and two years of office experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, written and verbal including a customer service orientation.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to public service.
- Knowledge of computers including word processing, database, spreadsheet, web site maintenance, and presentation software.
- Experience working with college and graduate students.
- Experience working with Kutztown University software such as PeopleSoft and SAP, and related software packages.
- Background in Microsoft Office Suites (A Strong Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suites, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver, and Ingeniux.
- Strong interest in learning requirements for programs offered by the Department of Social Work.
- College degree preferred.
