Description
We invite applicants for the full-time administrative position of Dean, Health Sciences (HS). The Dean is responsible for upholding the educational and organizational quality of the division, fostering a student-focused environment committed to the success of diverse learners, and supervising the hiring, training, and evaluation of faculty and staff within the division. The Dean may also teach as determined by the Provost.
The College seeks an inclusive, innovative leader able to grow the scope and outreach of the Health Sciences division through the continued development and expansion of programs, including stackable, work-ready certificates and degrees.

Primary areas of leadership include but are not limited to
- Faculty development
- Course and program evaluation and improvement
- Strategic planning
- Budget oversight
- Staffing and scheduling
Requirements
- Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to foster professional relationships to advance strategic goals of the HS division and work inclusively and effectively with diverse groups of students, employees, business and industry leaders, and other community members
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and to function professionally under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- Appropriate higher education experience, including successful teaching experience
- Relevant professional experience in a Health Science related field
- Record of effective leadership
