Kinesiology Internship Coordinator
(part-time instructional faculty position)
The School of Kinesiology (SOK) in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) is seeking a part-time (30 hours/week) instructional faculty member to serve as Internship Coordinator for the undergraduate Kinesiology program. This is a 12-month appointment that combines managerial leadership duties with teaching responsibilities (KINE 490, Kinesiology Internship III). The internship program is a series of robust experiential learning endeavors which require a total of 700 hours of practical engagement over multiple courses.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitating internship site placements for fall, spring and summer semesters;
- Cultivating relationships with new and existing internship sites;
- Facilitating student preparation for upcoming internship experiences;
- Maintaining a database of previous and future internship opportunities;
- Serving as a liaison among the Associate Dean’s office, University Counsel, Office of Risk Management, and the internship sites for the maintenance and development of Affiliation Agreements;
- Maintaining the Kinesiology Internship Manual, which articulates the relevant policies and procedures that support the mission of the Kinesiology program;
- Collecting and analyzing data related to intern and supervisor performance; and
- Teaching one internship supervision course each semester.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a Kinesiology-related field;
- Experience managing an internship program, supervising interns, or other relevant leadership experience;
- Teaching or advising experience in higher education;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Committed to upholding the standards of excellence set forth by the Kinesiology faculty; and
- Participation in KINE and SOK faculty monthly meetings.
