Position Overview:
FTLF is seeking an experienced associate-level attorney to join our nationally recognized federal grants practice group, as well as to support our litigation team. This dynamic and growing practice offers considerable hands-on experience and significant client responsibility in a collaborative team environment. An entrepreneurial approach to your practice will be encouraged and rewarded.
Qualified candidates will have 4-6 years of experience in the field of federal administrative law. The ideal candidate will have experience with all life cycles of federally funded programs, including, in particular, issues arising in performance of federal procurement contracts and/or federal grants as well as disputes arising thereunder. Basic familiarity with federal appropriations law is a plus.
Practice areas for the successful candidate will include a mixture of compliance counseling, contract review and negotiation, audit resolution support on cost-reimbursement federal agreements, administrative appeals, and judicial litigation. Opportunities to support other firm practice areas, including healthcare compliance, may also be anticipated.
FTLF also provides considerable education and training opportunities to its clients and other industry members. In this regard, successful candidates may expect to support the creation of presentation materials in their first several years with FTLF and significant opportunities for public speaking to industry audiences as they develop experience at the firm.
Experience in either public (federal or state) or private practice is welcome. All applicants should have strong academic credentials and references as well as possess a strong commitment to providing superior client service. District of Columbia bar membership or the ability to waive is required.
