Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I

The City of Cedar Falls is seeking applicants to certify and select from a Civil Service hiring list for the position of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I.  Starting wage: $22.761/hr. plus full-time benefit package.  Operators work one of every five weekends offering a flexible three-day work week to follow.

The successful candidate must possess the ability to: perform complex and responsible plant operator duties under minimal amount of supervision, and under general supervision, operate the facility on an assigned shift; perform minor and major plant repair work, maintain assigned treatment plant facilities; and perform related work as required.
